Car systems are being used to target patients in remote areas with deadly consequences for those targeted.
The aim is to save lives by taking a gunshot, and then to transfer it to a remote person who can survive it.
Now a team of researchers at Newcastle University in the UK have developed a new, high-tech, mobile phone that can shoot a car.
They believe this could make car crashes less frequent.
In a paper published in the journal Science Advances, the Newcastle team describes how they made the phone a target by modifying the car’s telecommunication system to deliver a lethal blast.
They say the phone, which uses a combination of sensors and cameras, will work by projecting a high-intensity pulse of electricity that will cause the car to flip over.
The car will then accelerate towards the target.
When the car is in the air, it will then fire a lethal shot.
They also say that this method will prevent many types of accidents, including people falling from the roof of a car, from happening.
It’s not clear how the phone will operate, but it could work by sending pulses of electricity through the car and then sending them out to the target to kill them.
“We have demonstrated a wireless system that can kill an average vehicle in an urban environment,” says lead author, Andrew Withers, a research scientist in the School of Engineering and Technology at Newcastle.
“It is also the first time a mobile telephone has been successfully used to kill a moving car.” “

What do we know about this technology?
“This research is the result of an extensive investigation into the effects of mobile phone systems on human health and safety,” explains Dr Chris Williams, a professor of engineering and technology at Newcastle who led the research.
“With the technology we developed, we could use the device to deliver an extremely fast, lethal pulse to a moving target, thereby greatly reducing the frequency of car collisions.” “

What’s next?
The researchers say they will use this system to target remote areas and to develop a system that is more safe and more efficient.
They are also planning to apply the technology to other types of cars.
“If we can develop a more efficient mobile telephone system, we can potentially save hundreds of lives every year,” says Witherson.
They say they would like to see other countries start using this technology and developing similar systems.”
For example, this technology could help in the reduction of vehicle crashes, as the car does not travel very fast and people who die from crashes do not die as quickly.”
