Italian prosecutors have charged a man with illegally selling nuclear-capable ballistic missiles to North Korea, according to Italian media reports.
The 41-year-old man was arrested in the southern Italian city of Pozzallo on Wednesday, the Italian news agency ANSA said.
It said the man was an employee of a defense company in Pozzalo.
The Italian news outlet said the suspect had been charged with a criminal offence under the countrys criminal code for selling missiles.
He had been under investigation for the past two years.
North Korea’s nuclear weapons programme is the biggest threat to peace in the region.
